Residence Day 5: Live Performance Programme

13:00-18:00 ::: HOLD 1: OPEN SPACE [Open space with resident hosting] - Saturday ticket or all days festival pass

Hold 1, which has contained the SpaceKraft Resident Artists and Indiependent-Space Programme for a week is open to the public as an Informal hangout space, with light presence/hosting maintained by residents. The space will display rolling recorded content, exhibits, and materials collected and generated during the residency.

14:00-00:00 ::: DECK: DIY Fairground Fun-Fair [Mechanical Rides | Art Installation]

A collection of humorous, ‘hand-cranked’ rides by artist Paddy Bloomer- Serving unhealthy snacks during break times.

15.00-18:00 ::: HOLD 1: The Dublin-Reeperbahn DIY Balad Workshop [Workshop] - Saturday ticket or all days festival pass

Participants dive into the art of ballad-writing as a DIY living art form, using traditional song forms from known Dublin and Hamburg Balladeers to capture life as it is lived now, in new original work. Led by Sean Fitzgerald with further insights from Jinx Lennon, Rare Witch and others.

(22:00-04:00) Irish artists and musicians explore, expand and satirise folk forms. With The Goblinz, Branwen Kavanagh, ‘Punk Urban Poet’ Jinx Lennon*, The Ruskavellas, Trad Porn: Cowboys and Hoors [The Musical!], The Four-Horsemen of The Apocalypse Derby (Death, Famine or War?! Place your bets and win BIG!) with storytelling and céilí-calling by Hugh Cooney, for The Ultimate Trad Wife: Competition and Céilí, spilling into a Trad Rave finale!
